A threaded rod, also known as a stud, is a relatively long rod that is threaded on both ends; the thread may extend along the complete length of the rod. Thread studs are without any type of head.

Their are 3 types of Studs,

1. Full Thread Studs: Complete round bar of pitch diameter is threaded. a} Full bodies studs. b) undercut one side studs.
2. Tap end thread studs: One side threads of a rod.
3.  Double end studs: Threaded at both sides. Mainly used in Pumps.

Types of threading process:

1. Roll threaded: Full thread studs & mass production studs are roll threaded. Roll thread are cold formed into shape of threads by applying pressure on pitch diameter round bars.
2. Chaser Cut Threads: Mainly used when one side threading to be done. It has less strength. Mainly used in infrastructure anchor fasteners.
