ASTM A194 Grade 2H is a standard material specification, for high tensile hardened and tempered nuts.Hex nuts are internally threaded fasteners,  Nuts are made from carbon steel materials EN8D.

Heavy hex nuts thickness are equal to diameter. H=D.

Grade 2H nuts can be manufactured by hot forging, cold forging or machining from heat treated bar stock.

Grade 2H nuts are with plain black phosphate, plain zinc, cadmium or hot dip galvanizing.

Metric hex nuts dimensions are as per DIN 934, ASME B18.2.4.1M and B18.2.4.2M.

And INCH dimensions are  asper ASME B18.2.2, IS-1363-3 and IS 1364-3 standards.

Metric heavy hex nuts are manufactured as per ASME B18.2.4.6M standard.

2H nuts are available from size M12 to M72 in metric and from 1/2 to 4 inches,
